Aging ductwork

Old ducts can waste up to 40% of your system's efficiency

Ductwork needs attention just like any other system in your home. Poorly maintained ducts keep heated and cooled air from reaching your rooms and can cut efficiency by as much as 40 percent.

Older systems also leak and crack with age, and sometimes whole sections of the duct and vent system need replacing. We'll give you an honest, accurate assessment of your options.

★★★★★
“We moved into a new home that had rodents in the attics. Attic Crew was respectful, polite, and well-priced. Zabi was the Project Manager for our project and he takes such great joy in his work. He spent hours making sure all entry points were sealed and provided before and after photos. He used top tier insulation and cleaned our attic spaces to perfection.”

“I had a fantastic experience working with the Attic Crew. The fact that they are a one stop shop for clean up, rodent control and insulation made everything so simple and seamless. Their bid was competitive and their quality is excellent. This is definitely the company you want to work with.”

“After 19 years, my crawl space was a disgusting mess due to being inhabited by rodents. Jay came to my home to make an inspection and recommendations. He showed me photos of the problem and explained exactly what was needed to be done. Two weeks later as planned, Wais came out with the crew right on time. When the job was completed, I was again shown with photos exactly what was done and was beyond satisfied with…”

Common questions

Air Duct Replacement FAQ

Do I need to give attention to existing ductwork?

Yes. Aging ductwork needs attention like any other system. Poorly maintained ducts become inefficient, keep air from circulating and can reduce efficiency by as much as 40 percent.

What are common duct repairs?

Repairing parts of a system, like the air distribution unit or individual vents, is common over the life of a home. Small leaks can be sealed with mastic, and larger holes patched with sheet metal and mastic.

How do I know when it's time to replace?

When sealing and patching aren't enough, when problem areas are hard to reach or too numerous, or in older homes where materials have broken down, full replacement is usually the better investment.

Is duct sealing eligible for a rebate?

Qualifying Cascade Natural Gas customers can get CNGC rebates for duct sealing and duct insulation. We'll check during your inspection.

Can you replace ducts and insulation at the same time?

Yes, and it's often the best time to do it, since the attic is already open and clean.
